Citrus - Chlorosis

Symptoms
Magnesium deficiency causes interveinal yellowing on older leaves first. Discoloration intensifies on leaf tips and leaf margin. These areas become completely yellow, veins included. Then chlorosis proceeds towards the petiole attachment point. Leaf base remains green for the longest time. At prolonged deficiency younger leaves are affected too.

Reasons
Magnesium deficiency on leaves of lemon. Please note that this symptom may be a sign of HLB/Citrus Greening, and not a nutrient deficiency.

Yara recommended fertilizers for Magnesium

YaraVita® BUD BUILDER™WP

Citrus: 5-10 lbs/acre applied post-harvest. Also, 5-10 lbs/acre applied from bud burst to start of flowering Reapply from petal fall thru fruit sizing in 14-21 day interval. Water rate: minimum 25 gallons per acre. Foliar application of Bud Builder may leave a white residue-deposit on the leaf or crop when applied close to harvest.

Citrus: 1-2 quarts/acre applied at 10 to 14 day intervals following fruit set. Water rate: 50 to 150 gallons/acre.

Citrus: 1-2 quarts/acre from 2/3 of new leaf development in the spring. For moderate to severe deficiency repeat application 10 to 14 days later. Also, 1-2 quarts/acre applied during autumn flush. Repeat 10 to 14 days later if necessary. Water rate: 20 to 50 gallons/acre.
